Sitting at the center of the Woodlake community, Frierson Lake is the scenic focus of our neighborhood life. The relationship between our neighborhood and nature is strong, and we strive to protect that special connection. We have a “no gas motors” policy on the lake to promote a quieter, more peaceful environment and to protect wildlife from potential oil and gas contamination associated with motorized watercraft.
This policy helps limit noise, creating a tranquil atmosphere that benefits both residents and wildlife.
Many homeowners also enjoy feeding the wildlife, which adds to the unique sense of connection with nature that is part of what makes our neighborhood special.
Each year, we see an increasing variety of wildlife throughout the neighborhood, including deer, roadrunners, beavers, otters, a bald eagle, pelicans, and geese, to name just a few. These sightings are a wonderful reminder that our efforts to preserve a peaceful, nature-friendly environment are making a difference.
